We follow rising star assistant professor Em Wong who signs up for a high-stakes virtual reality game after being denied tenure. To win the game, Em must free herself of nine energy cords that hold embedded memories of the past. Can Em find a way to free herself or will she be stuck in her own virtual reality?

Coming the legendary Magic Theatre in San Francisco, a new version of the critically acclaimed grown-up fairy tale and a darkly camp comedy about the bargains we strike with ourselves and others in order to survive. Written and performed by Kevin Rolston and developed with and directed by M. Graham Smith. Deftly staged and artfully performed, the play unfolds as a cunning and sophisticated fable for adults who deal with demons and the made-up monsters that only some of us can vanquish.

Once upon a time, young Billy waited for Prince Charming’s rescue. They would live in some far-off kingdom with lots of waltzing. And princess dresses. When an enchanting man half his age and arrow-straight appeared one day, did Billy stop dreaming of happily ever after? Dream on… A true life fable, a one-man middle-age-ed cautionary tale, developed with generous support from the Emerging Artists Theatre New Work Series in NYC.
